Householders Forced to Recycle Waste

Parliamentary Information Office: This is all about bad management in our councils where inexperienced, overpaid executives make a mess of everything. Surely it must be more economical to take all rubbish away from homes to a central recycling depot rather than having hundreds of thousands of people trying to do it at their homes, involving hundreds of thousands of  bins. Even to see the vast number of bins outside each home is unsightly and does nothing for the appearance of our streets. Our council operates weekly collections and we all only have one bin, brilliant, will it last.

Parliamentary Information Office: OK - Let's just wait until there's an outbreak of some nasty and spreading disease connected to lack of hygiene, shall we?

The country has gone mad over this. Do we not realise that not everyone lives in a mansion with space for several dustbins well away from living areas?

Apart from which I feel there is some real doubt about just how much rubbish really goes for recycling.
